November 1, 2021 Holly Hills CC, Ijamsville, MD

The Free State Seniors held their final tournament of 2021 at Holly Hills Country Club. The course was challenging, and with beautiful gold, red and orange foliage and brisk winds, fall was certainly in the air! The 44 members who played gave their best effort. The results can be found below. Congratulation to the winners and "Thank You" to everyone who competed today and throughout the 2021 season.

Gross Champions - 74 (Barry Flaer, Jeff Barnes)

Net Champions - 63 (Mike Kurylo, Tony Celeste)

2nd Gross Champions - 76 (John Blouse, Dave Wright)

2nd Net Champions - 70 (Nick Kraft, Tom Duvall)

The golf course features rolling hills, expertly manicured fairways and greens considered among the best in the region. Holly Hills is best known for the "President's Loop," the stretch of holes 15, 16 and 17. A favorite of former President George H.W. Bush, the golf course is rated as one of the most challenging in Maryland. Dan Jenkins, of Golf Digest, once described the 15th hole as the "Toughest hole in western civilization". Most importantly, the golf course is enjoyable for both the casual and aggressive player. Free State Seniors looks forward to traveling to Ijamsville, Maryland to enjoy a round of good golf once again at Holly Hills and to share in the fellowship of our organization's membership
