June 20, 2022 Greystone Golf Course, Whitehall, MD

The Free State Seniors held their June tournament at Greystone Golf Course. The course was in great shape. However, there were a few US Open pin placements which challenged the field. The weather could not have been better and there were many scenic views of Baltimore County for those who were not enjoying their play! The 78 members who played gave their best effort. Congratulations to the winners and "Thank You" to everyone who participated today! You can click on any photograph to get a full-size view.

On Monday, June 20, the Free State Seniors Golf Association played their monthly tournament at Greystone Golf Course in Whitehall, Maryland.

This is the first time that the Free State Seniors have ventured to Greystone. One of the five courses maintained by Baltimore County Golf, Greystone is considered by many to be the most outstanding. Designed by Joe Lee, architect of Doral Resort's famed Blue Monster and the courses at Walt Disney World, Greystone Golf Course is a true masterpiece in layout, challenge, and entertainment.

Greystone's championship course includes 140 feet of elevation changes and features seven ponds and more than 80 bunkers. The tall hardwood trees, wetlands, and native vegetation add an abundance of character to the design. The course offers a rare five par 3's and five par 5's creating a fun and different Par 72 adventure.

Greystone's tees, greens and fairways are all preferred Bent Grass, and all are expertly maintained by the outstanding turf management staff. The course offers five sets of tee boxes as well as a new Family Tee area to help players of all calibers enjoy the Greystone experience. We hope that you can join us for this event on one of the top public courses in the state.
